Business Process Modeling Notation
The goal of BPMN is to provide a business process modeling notation that is readily usable by business analysts, technical developers and business people that manage and monitor these processes. One of the goal of BPMN is also to be able to generate execution definitions (
BPEL4WS) that will be used to implement the business processes. As such BPMN positions itself as a bridge between modeling and execution and between people that run the business and implementers of systems that support the business.
BPMN allows us to create a Business Process Diagram which represent the activities of the business process and the flow controls that define the order in which they are performed.
